The seminar on the potential for logistics development in Nha Be district was successfully held, marking an important step in shaping this district into a key logistics center of Ho Chi Minh City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the afternoon of December 31, Nha Be District People's Committee in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies organized a seminar on "Potential and prospects for logistics development in Nha Be District". The event attracted the participation of many experts, scientists, businesses, and related agencies.<\/p>\n

Nha Be \u2013 An attractive destination for logistics<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

With a favorable geographical location, a developed waterway and road transport system, and key infrastructure projects being implemented, Nha Be district is assessed to have great potential for developing the logistics industry.<\/p>\n

Mr. Trieu Do Hong Phuoc, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of Nha Be District People's Committee, emphasized the important role of logistics in promoting local socio-economic development. He said that when the belt roads, logistics centers and Can Gio international port are completed, Nha Be will become a major cargo hub and a center for distributing goods to neighboring areas.<\/p>\n

Current situation and solutions<\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

At the seminar, delegates discussed the current situation, potential and challenges of the logistics industry in Nha Be.<\/p>\n

Mr. Nguyen Le Chon Tam - General Director of Saigon Port, concurrently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port, a unit operating in Nha Be district, shared about the traffic congestion situation at Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park and proposed a solution to directly connect Ring Road 3 with Nguyen Huu Tho Street as a necessary solution to reduce the load and improve the efficiency of freight transport. Upgrading Nguyen Binh Street and connecting with Chanh Hung - Pham Hung Street to Nguyen Van Linh is also an effective solution, which will facilitate the transportation of goods in and out of Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, reduce logistics costs and increase competitiveness for businesses in the Industrial Park. With the concept of "Clear Roads, Clear Wealth", when the traffic network is clear, it will remove geographical barriers, create a strong driving force for economic development, attract investment, and increase trade between the South Saigon area with the city center and neighboring areas.<\/p>\n
