On the morning of December 6, 2024, Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port Joint Stock Company held the 2024 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The meeting was a great success, closing a year full of achievements and opening up new prospects.

With strong and drastic changes after the 1st Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in 2024 on January 25, 2024, the decision was made to elect Mr. Nguyen Le Chon Tam - General Director of Saigon Port and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port; Mr. Le Van Hoa; Mr. Chu Ngoc Son as members of the Board of Directors for the 2023 - 2028 term. At the same time, the Board of Directors unanimously agreed to appoint Mr. Le Van Hoa to the position of General Director of Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port Joint Stock Company in August 2024. Up to now, there have been clear changes in the port development strategy.

He also added, "In addition to the advantages of geographical location in Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park and relatively complete infrastructure investment, it is also affected by general market fluctuations, fiercer competition among ports in the region and internal difficulties related to investment in operating equipment, waterways and connecting traffic infrastructure. These issues have directly affected the Port's operational efficiency and competitiveness in the market.

Mr. Nguyen Le Chon Tam - General Director of Saigon Port and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port reported and presented the direction and tasks of Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port in the coming time.However, in the coming time, Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port will drastically promote the comprehensive restructuring process, invest in infrastructure, upgrade modern facilities focusing on exploiting container cargo, general cargo, warehouses and roro ships, etc. to fully utilize the existing capacity and capabilities so that the volume of goods passing through the port is increasingly higher with the determination to turn this place into a sea and waterway cargo trading area, the southern gateway of Ho Chi Minh City.

The congress ended successfully, shareholders highly agreed and approved 100% plan for 2024 with ambitious goals, and expressed confidence in the future of Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port.

With the strategic decisions approved at the 2024 Shareholders' Meeting, Saigon - Hiep Phuoc Port will continue to affirm its position in the region. The Port aims for sustainable growth, improving competitiveness, actively contributing to socio-economic development and being a safe and reliable address for customers.
